19th Century Swedish Folk Art Drop-Leaf Table

About the Item

Folk Art drop-leaf table in painted pine. The table is in a very unusual model with drawers at the front. Untouched original condition with original paint. The paint has some signs of wear and distress. Minor wear around the edges of the drawers. handwrought riveted hinges. One hinge was changed during the 1800s. Made in northern Sweden in the province Hälsingland korund, 1820. Solid and stabile frame. Each leaf is 66 cm making the middle 63 cm and the total possible width 195 cm.
