19th Century, Swedish Gustavian Style Drop Leaf Table

About the Item

Drop leaf table in gustavian style made around 1810 in northern Sweden. The table is hand-made in Swedish pine and painted in a light grey tone. The paint is the original first layer of paint from the early 1800s. The table is in untouched original condition and has traces and marks after over 200 years of use. The table has the original hinges and rivets of hand-wrought iron. Well crafted with a stable and healthy frame. A small unusual detail is the extra decoration in the shape of flutes on the gates. The thin middle section is 34 cm and each extra table top is 68.5 cm, making the total length 171 cm.
