Trojan XXI Chess Table & Set (White)

Trojan, a coffee table at first sight, is hiding space that holds similar amount of fighters as a legendary Trojan horse. 32 chess pieces made by Towarna, are cast from concrete, one of first composite materials, used already in ancient Rome. Chess, which evolved from the Persian chess-like game Shatranj, purportedly developed from the first known variant - an Indian game of Chaturanga, are the best gymnastics for our brains.
Chessboard is made of 68 hand-folded parts of a special wood veneer with an unusual wood texture that can be seen for example in interiors of luxury cars.
We've added a delicately light variant to our Trojan chess table...

imagine all the variations of pieces and boards created during that period.
I am exceptionally proud of our interpretation of the battlefield and its soldiers!
In this edition, Cherry and Maple softly contrast one another. We are able to offer numours timber combinations as well as the potential of brass/copper accent work. This means that although the design is rigid, one is able to tailor an aesthetic which is appealing to your taste.
Each piece is solid wood and expertly hand-turned by artisan. They are then carefully finished to ensure a congruent appearance.
