19th Century Italian Rococo Table Painted In The Venetian Style
About the Item
A Late 19th Century Table in the Rococo style, hand painted in the Venetian style. This Italian, table which could also be used as a desk features finely, hand-carved, scroll-work across the cabriole legs. The table’s apron has decorative carvings of stylised acanthus leaves and all of this is further highlighted in the colourful Venetian style paintwork which includes a main colour of red ochre and triptych of yellow ochre cartouches on the top, filled with characterful floral work.The table is carved and decorated on all 4 sides as a freestanding piece and is beautiful to view from all angles. The table, overall, has an ebullient charm.
