Bodil Kjaer Outdoor 'BK16' Side Table in Teak for Carl Hansen & Son

About the Item

Bodil Kjaer outdoor 'BK16' side table in teak for Carl Hansen & Son The story of Danish Modern begins in 1908 when Carl Hansen opened his first workshop. His firm commitment to beauty, comfort, refinement, and craftsmanship is evident in iconic pieces designed by such legends as Hans J. Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, Kaare Klint, Poul Kjærholm, Vilhelm Lauritzen and others. Now in its third generation as a family run business, Carl Hansen & Son maintains its legacy through skillful work with the highest quality materials, sustainably producing Danish design classics by past icons and influential new designers. Designed in 1959 by Danish architect Bodil Kjær, the BK16 side table is part of a collection of beautifully crafted indoor-outdoor furniture in solid teak. Its Cubist-inspired form echoes other designs in the series, all of which have a clean-lined and geometric quality. Perfectly proportioned to match the height of the collection’s lounge chair, the BK16 side table displays the same superior craftsmanship and striking simplicity that underpins the entire Indoor-Outdoor series. Executed in solid untreated FSC-certified teak that will develop a beautiful patina over time. Price per item. Available to order in unlimited quantities. Also available with a matching dining chair, lounge chair, lounge sofa and dining table - please see our separate listings. This listing is for the BK16 side table in teak. In stock lead time 2-3 weeks, out of stock lead times can add an additional 8 weeks or more. Please note that lead times, cost and inventory availability are subject to change without notice and dependent on choice of wood, finish and material ordered. For time sensitive orders, please contact us for current lead times prior to purchasing. Wood is a natural material and may vary depending on the environment (light, humidity, heat). Due to the organic nature of the material, teak and walnut vary considerably in tone and pattern within the same log. Some assembly required. Made to order. All sales are final.
