Antique Bamboo Tiered Dessert Server

About the Item

A three tier bamboo dessert server or tea table from the late 19th to early 20th century. Likely English, having an octagonal shaped black lacquered top and square central lower tier, framed in oxblood red stained bamboo, featuring four folding panel side drop shelves used for serving, all rising on elegant curved legs. Ideal size and proportions for a variety of uses, including as a side table, cocktail drinks stand, tiered etagage display, bedside nightstand, or dry bar cart, with room for approximately nine bottles in the center. Dimensions: (approx) Open: 25.75" High, 30" Wide, 30" Deep Closed: 25.75" High, 21" Wide, 21" Deep Great shape overall, especially considering age. Strong, sturdy and structurally sound, with highly desirable patina. Wear and tear consistent with age and indicative of use, including minor scuffs, scratches and scattered imperfections. Nothing that detracts from the display or functionality, but only adds to the antique character and elegant warmth.
