About the Item
"Prostituee Francaise" is a hand signed, limited edition original lithograph by noted, deceased American artist, LeRoy Neiman (1921-2012). One of a limited edition of only 300, created in 1980, "Prostituee Francaise" (also known as "La Nuit De Paris") displays Neiman's renowned masterful technique and detail in 10 sexy vignettes depicting seduction in the night in Paris.
This impressively large piece measures approximately 30" high x 41.5",wide and is complimented by a double matted custom frame measuring approximately 38.5" high x 50" wide.
LeRoy Neiman was a prolific and popular artist who was best known for his brilliantly colored, expressionist paintings and screen prints of athletes, musicians, and sporting events. The artist’s works are held in private and public collections throughout the world, including in the Art Institute of Chicago, the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C., and the Indianapolis Museum of Art, among others. Neiman was born in Minnesota. He attended the St. Paul School of Art and then at the Art Institute of Chicago after having served in the US military.
Lithograph, mat and glass are in excellent condition. Any shadows or reflections in the pictures are due to camera angles. Frame has minor scratches.
