About the Item
Original Mixed Media Abstract Oil and Acrylic on Canvas Stretched on Board signed by the Artist Lee Burr (Reynolds) b. 1936 - d. 2017. Born in Los Angeles and graduated with a Degree in Fine Art from Southern California. Significant member of the New York School and divided his time between New York and Bel Air California.
His richly surfaced Abstracts on massive scales are represented in important Museums in the USA and Europe. He gained a wide international following amongst European and American avant garde art collectors and clients.
The painting titled 'Musicle' was exhibited in the East Park Gallery in New York and the painting has the gallery stamp to the reverse of the canvas. Also is a printed label from the gallery attached attributing the artist to the piece.
Muted pastel tones and deep texture to the oil and acrylic make this a stand out piece of Mixed Media. A large painting which draws the eye to the subtle detail which also includes sheet music to certain sections.
