Pair of Italian Baroque Green Frames 1700 decorated with Putti and Landscapes

About the Item

Pair of Baroque Frames With Putti and Landscape carved in a single basswood board and composed of richly carved foliage and and chasing scrolls and intertwine until culminating at the top with a putto, the face of a winged cherub. The rectangular-shaped central reservoir with beveled corners and shaped in the upper side features two coeval prints, depicting landscapes with characters and ruins decorated in poor art. The frames are lacquered in shades of greenish gray and are in good condition except for a sticking on a curl, as highlighted in the photo gallery. Piedmont, early 1700s. Height: 32cm Width:- 27.5cm Depth: 4.5 cm For the export from Italy of an art object that is more than 50 years old, a government export license called BELLE ARTI must be applied for. the issuance of such a license takes about 2 to 3 weeks, to be added to the order processing time.
