Large 1970s Color Wave Abstract Painting
About the Item
Signed Scott lower left corner. Acrylic paint and mixed media on stretched canvas. Circa 1970. Beautiful abstract wave of color. Phenomenal expressive brushwork and use of highly bright and saturated impasto colors of yellow and and orange. The framing treatment consists of a simple black wood molding and a beveled edge linen liner. The painting is in good overall condition with no visible rips, tears, or crazing of the paint surface. No visible paint loss. There is some minor yellowing and browning of the varnish. Some stains on the linen liner due to age. Structurally sound and sturdy.
Approximate overall dimensions with the frame are 36.25" wide x 28.5" high x 2" deep. The approximate dimensions of the canvas are 32" wide x 24" high.
