About the Item
Vibrant modernist oil on canvas of Paris street scene by listed artist Jean-Claude Dragomir (Romanian/French, b. 1935-1965). The artist was Romanian born and lived most of his short life in Montmarte in Paris as an abstract painter and illustrator, most notably for his collaborative illustrations with the poet Bernard Dimey.
The varying shades of blue used throughout this painting, as well as the artist's strong brush strokes, make it an interesting and dramatic piece. Signed lower left.
