About the Item
A gorgeous landscape with charming mother and daughter walking in the fields was painted by Andre Gisson, 1921-2003, famous for gorgeously rendered impressionist paintings. An American who graduated from the Pratt Institute, Gisson found difficulty breaking into the art market as an American so he moved to France and legally changed his name to André Gisson.
Paintings by Gisson are in the Smithsonian and the Triton Museum of Art.
