An elegant oval oil on artist's board of Ponty Glen, Wales, signed on reverse and initialed lower left - W.B. Henley. Sales of painting are well documented and recent research suggests he is William Bidwell Henley, who died young in 1856 just as he was having shows at the British Institution in 1854-56. Provenance: W. Russell Button, Inc., 955 Center St., Douglas, MI. Framed to expose signature. Measures: 12 5/8" x 11 1/8" x 1 3/4"
