About the Item

The antique paintings Still Life with Roses proposed here is a beautiful oil painting on canvas from the early 1900s, Art Deco. The Antique Painting dresses with a carved and lacquered wooden frame from the early 20th century period. This is an arrangement with a glass vase with a beautiful bouquet of small rose flowers. Old paintings with flowers, still life of flowers with bouquet of roses signed lower right Maurice Decamps French painter. Maurice Alfred Decamps (1892-1953) was born in Paris and painted pictures of landscapes, but mostly of flowers. His teacher was Pierre Montézin, and from 1913 he began exhibiting his works at the "Salon des artistes Français" in Paris. He received many awards and mentions in his lifetime. In 1926 he received the "Prix de la Savoie" award, then in1927 the "Société des Paysagistes," in 1929 the " Raigecourt-Goyon" award, and finally in 1938 the "Justin Claverie" award.
