Original vintage railway poster in celebration of the 1859 Centenary 1959 Royal Albert Bridge Saltash Designed and built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel featuring a stunning painting by the notable British artist Terence Tenison Cuneo (1907-1996) depicting a steam train on the bridge over the River Tamar with seagulls flying above a boat on the water and the sun casting an orange glow across the sky in the background, the memorial text on the portal reading - I.K. Brunel Engineer 1859. This lenticular iron truss railway bridge linking Plymouth Devon and Saltash Cornwall was designed by one of the most influential and innovative industrial engineers Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806-1859), who died shortly after its official opening by Prince Albert in 1959. Published by British Railways (Western Region). Horizontal. Large size. Printed in Great Britain by Waterlow and Sons Ltd, London and Dunstable. Large size. Horizontal.
