LARGE EARLY 19TH CENTURY CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERED HANGING
About the Item
backing (9ft x 5ft). Featuring:
Two dragons in vibrant gold thread chasing a flaming pearl (symbol of
wisdom)
Surrounded by 5 bats (long life)
Other flaming pearls and variety of symbols
Stylised water with waves and 7 symbols including carp and lotus flower
Richly coloured on dark ground
Could hang immediately but would also benefit from some restoration (see
photographs)
