Pink Sapphire Cuff Bracelet GIA Certified 15 Carat No Heat Marcus&Co. Midcentury
About the Item
This glamorous and one-of-a-kind cuff bracelet was created by American jeweler, Marcus & Co in the 1940s. The 14K white gold cuff bracelet features an oval cabochon-cut pink-purple natural star sapphire that measures 15.66mm x 10.8mm x 8.19mm and weighs approximately 15 carats. The sapphire is GIA certified to be natural and unheated. Unheated sapphires are exceedingly rare, especially gems of this magnificent size.
Star sapphires are most often opaque stones with bright stars. No so here. This mesmerizing gem has been graded by the GIA as "transparent" and transparent it is, which makes the fact that it displays asterism especially fascinating. The sapphire is surrounded by a galaxy of 73 tiny, firey old-cut diamonds that together weigh over 1.5 carats.
The cuff is in absolutely pristine condition and the richly hand-textured goldwork remains pristine, even in the back, where one would expect to see signs of wear. The cuff has clearly been treasured and exceptionally well cared for. The hinged cuff features a safety clasp and measures 56.70mm x 49.68mm, so it's going to fit small and medium-sized wrists perfectly.
Marcus & Co was a renowned American jeweler known for its use of flashy, unusual gemstones. They eventually merged with Black Starr & Frost. This stunning cuff is marked for metal fineness and bears the maker's mark. This magnificent cuff ships with a GIA certificate.
