About the Item
A very fine 18k gold, emerald, and diamond modernist brooch.
Attributed to Andrew Grima.
Comprising a textured spiral in 18k yellow gold with prong set round smooth emerald cabochons and round brilliant diamonds on the spiral's edge.
Hallmarked to the reverse for London, 18ct gold, 1963, and the Haller Jewelry Co.
We believe that is a very early piece of Grima's work.
Simply a wonderful piece from the Father of Modernist Jewelry!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
There is a laser solder repair to each of the semi-circular posts on the reverse that bridge the levels of the spiral. Otherwise, there is some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
