Important Holbeinesque Garnet and Enamel Pendant
About the Item
An important Holbeinesque garnet and enamel pendant, the large oval carbuncle garnet surrounded by a border of round faceted chrysolite and a further border of eight larger round faceted chrysolites in between a green, white and red enamel Holbeinesque design, to a pendant drop of pear shape faceted chrysolite within an enamel border and two smaller round faceted chrysolite, suspended from a detachable pendant loop of graduated chrysolite to an enamel border, all set to an engraved closed back gold mount, circa 1860, measuring approximately 8.7 x 4.7cm, gross weight 47.33 grams.
