About the Item
This is an absolutely stunning antique Victorian Picture Agate Brooch Pin set in a gorgeous Etruscan Revival setting in 10 Karat Gold. The Picture Agate depicts a forest scene and is a fabulous example of nature's wonder. The natural picture agate or moss agate is set in a wonderful gold frame. The brooch dates to the Victorian period, circa 1860-1890. Picture agate pieces are highly collectable and this is one of the finest early Victorian jewels we have seen. The workmanship on the brooch is very fine with exquisite gold work. The brooch is a delight when worn and will create a conversation piece to be passed on for generations.
The brooch is 1 3/4 inches (44mm) long and 22mm tall.
