Victorian Revival Ruby and Diamond Pin Pendant
About the Item
In a British inspiration, this Victorian Revival Ruby & Diamond Pin / Pendant features a total of 1.20 carats of Round cut Natural Medium Red Rubies with a total of 1.35 carats of Round Brilliant cut Diamonds ranking an F-G Color & VVS1-SI1 Clarity. Accented with Black Enameled detailing as well. This particular style was a short-lived period of the Victorian era. Recreated in the 1950s, this piece was constructed in a heavily structured improved design, as opposed to the much more delicate construction of Victorian era pieces. Most also contained all Diamonds, as opposed to this combination of Ruby & Diamonds. Furthermore, when Rubies were used in Victorian pieces, they were synthetic in nature, not naturally earth-mined Rubies like these.
Doubling as a Brooch or a Pendant, to be worn as desired. In recent years, brooches have been making a come back as an ornamental accessory to the free-flowing designs in clothing as well.
Stamped "14K" on reverse.
