About the Item
This five piece Art Deco dress set is crafted from 14 karat yellow gold, platinum and blue sapphires. The set comprises of a pair of cufflinks and three matched dress studs, all set with cabochon blue sapphires. The cufflinks are a pair of connected oval discs which are yellow gold to the underside and platinum topped, with an oval cabochon blue sapphire set to each disc in the centre. The rim of these 'discs' is intricately hand engraved with a fine pattern. The three matched dress studs are essentially in the same form however are round in shape and feature round cabochon sapphires in lieu of the oval versions that are featured in the cufflinks. The dress studs are sprung to allow them to be easily attached to a shirt and are working well and secure. This set is a wonderful example of the opulence of the Art Deco period and how the men of the period would be dressed impeccably down to their accessories.
