Pair of Dunhill Reverse Intaglio Crystal Cufflinks
About the Item
A pair of Dunhill reverse intaglio crystal cufflinks, the cabochon-cut crystal faces each depicting different game animal, measuring approximately 1.4cm in diameter, set on an 18 carat gold rubover mount with gold link fittings, made by Dunhill Paris, bearing French hallmarks circa 1930, for 18 carat gold, gross weight 11.6 grams.
This striking early Victorian suite comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This magnificent necklace and earrings set is emblematic of ornate early Victorian design and was made in around 1840. The honey-hued topaz have a wonderful glow to them, which is perfectly complemented by the soft yellow gold setting. This suite can be worn separately or together for a dramatic look.
These wonderful reverse intaglio cufflinks are a wonderful recreation of cufflinks popular in the late Victorian period. They come from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, and feature three birds and one rabbit rendered in meticulous detail. These cufflinks, made in around 1930 by Dunhill Paris, would be a perfect finishing touch to a summer suit.
