Pair of ear-clips designed by Aldo Cipullo (1936-1984) for Cartier. Fabulous sculptural pair of ear-clips made in New York city by the jewelry designer Aldo Cipullo. This rare geometric pair was created during the collaboration period with the jewelry house of Cartier (1969-1975) as a designer. This pair of earrings are from the iconic "Circles" collection, and they were carefully crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold with high polished finish. The yellow gold parts hug a circular element, carved from natural black onyx which is gripped from the back by two screws. They are fitted with comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done. Coral: Mounted in posts settings, with 10 spherical cabochon cut (5.5 mm) of natural Sardinian red coral, with an approximate weight of about 12 carats. Weight: 39.95 grams (25.61 Dwt). Measurements: 35 mm by 30 mm (1.38 x 1.18 inches).
