A Pair of Victorian Blue Enamel and Diamond Stud Earrings
About the Item
A pair of Victorian blue enamel and diamond stud earrings, each stud centrally set with an old-cut diamond, surrounded by three blue enamelled and three diamond-set sections of spiral design, the diamonds estimated to weigh 1 carat in total, all set in silver and yellow gold, with later post and scroll fittings, circa 1880, gross weight 5.5 grams.
These beautiful Victorian ear studs come from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Each of these ear studs feature a central glittering old-cut diamond surrounded by a spiral set with alternating sections of royal blue enamel and further sparkling diamonds. Bold and tasteful, these antique ear studs would add sparkle and colour to a cocktail dress.
