Located in Hua Hin, TH
A beautiful sparkling Cushion-Cut 'Sky-Blue' Zircon from Ratanakiri, Cambodia. Rare sparkling Blue Zircon is only found at one place in the world at Ratanakiri province in Northeast Cambodia. Blue Zircon in this vivid blue color is very rare indeed. We cherry pick the stones at the mine in Cambodia and only 1% of all Blue Zircon mined have top quality blue color. A miner may find only a handful of these coveted crystals in a year, These Zircons have a color not normally seen in the main market and are extremely rare and out of a pedigree that very few people will ever own or even see. We are specialist in Investment Blue Zircon and have office in Ratanakiri there we can source all the best stones direct from the miners. Blue zircon is a beautiful and unique gemstone that has been prized for centuries for its striking color and brilliance. In fact Blue Zircon has a higher refractive index than sapphire and ruby. Blue Zircon also has a impressive fire, with a dispersion nearly as high as the diamond's. What the expert says about Ratanakiri Zircon...

She studied at Konstfack, the School of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, beginning in 1945 while pregnant with her first child, Pia. Eventually she married the child's father, a Danish journalism student. In 1948, Torun spent the summer in Paris meeting Picasso, Braque, Matisse, and the other great artists of the day. She married a French architect and lived in Stockholm until 1956 having a second child, a son, Claude. As early as 1952, Torun exhibited her jewelry, made both in Stockholm and France (and bearing hallmarks from each country) in Paris. In 1956 she moved to France with her third husband, Walter Coleman. She designed jewelry for among others, Billie Holiday which Holiday wore when she performed. The couple moved to Biot in the south of France. Torun produced many pieces during this period when young Swedish silversmiths would come to work in her studio, introducing her to new techniques. Torun renewed her acquaintance with Picasso who lived in the area and an exhibition of Torun jewelry...

YBA YoungBritishArtist Sculpture Jewelry Costume First US Exhibit NYC 2000-2001
Located in Chicago, IL
Young British artist (YBA) Philippe Bradshaw (1965-2005) was represented by blue-chip international art galleries when he was the first to reimagine iconic-art images as tapestry-like metal-chain installations in multimedia environments. He is best known for transforming hand-assembled colorful anodized-aluminum links into shimmering semi-transparent layered curtains, whose hanging long strands uniquely amplified the light and sound of his projected camcorder videos and DJ'd music. In Bradshaw's first American exhibition "Disco Damage" in 2001 at NYC's legendary avant-garde art gallery, Deitch Projects, this jewelry-costume sculpture became part of the artist's live-in evolving studio installation. While later celebrating 15 years of art happenings that had occurred at that Soho exhibition space, its gallerist-cum-museum-director Jeffrey Deitch--who was physically scarred during this unforgettable chaotic several-month experience orchestrated by Bradshaw--recounted this show in his retrospective hardcover book "Live The Art". When Bradshaw drowned in the Parisian-river Seine in August 2005 while living the high life of his skyrocketing success in Europe, he left a small body of large installations that is mostly distributed among the world's top private art collections. Notably, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles has acquired one of his multimedia works. More recently, another assembly of his chain curtains made a rare public appearance at new modern-art museum, Heidi Horten Collection, during its inaugural exhibition in Vienna. Since winning a major British visual-art prize in 2000 that marked Bradshaw's art-world ascent following fellow Goldsmiths-College YBAs who were close friends, this sculpture evolved from one of his most elaborate jewelry costumes that he created in London while seducing the American who became his girlfriend. Unlike other pieces of jewelry that he made as gifts to participating acquaintances while video taping...

Egyptian Revival Winged Pharaoh King Tut Enamel Brooch Pin Art Deco Silver 3.6"
Located in New York, NY
Indulge in a rare Art Deco Egyptian Revival Winged Pharaoh Silver Enamel Brooch masterpiece. The brooch is a Museum Quality jewel. The stunning very large and dramatic 3 5/8 inch brooch is centered by the head of a Pharoah with a magnificent hand carved face in a natural material. The exquisite, highly detailed and sensitive noble face reflects the work of a master artisan. The Pharaoh wears a fabulous headdress that is adorned with blue and green enamel. On either side are magnificent enamel wings decorated with stunning green, blue and red-orange enamel in a dynamic pattern. The brooch pin is 800 Silver and dates to the Art Deco period, circa 1890-1920. It has its early C-clasp. The brooch could be easily converted to a pendant necklace if desired. The craftsmanship, design, colors and large size of this brooch reflect the height of the Art Deco Egyptian Revival period. The brooch is a treasure to be worn and to be passed on for generations. For centuries, Ancient Egypt has held the fascination of the public and continues to inspire artists and designers alike. With the discoveries of Egyptian tombs, and the treasures within, in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the exotically opulent lives of the Pharaohs were beyond anyone’s imagination. Of all the precious objects unearthed in the tombs, the lavish jewels were perhaps the most fascinating for their extravagance and never-before-seen symbolism. The Roaring Twenties and the period’s Art Deco jewelry embraced the vivid contrasting colors, motifs, and symbols more daringly than ever before. Whether the jewels were complete, faithful reproductions or real artifacts preciously decorated in similar style, the Egyptian Revival jewelry during the Art Deco era is the most lavish and magnificent. The brooch is 3 5/8 inches (9.2cm) wide and is 1 inch (26mm) tall. The brooch is hallmarked on the back with 800 for 800 Silver which was the silver standard for most Continental jewelry...
