Antique sterling silver Albert chain, Edwardian
About the Item
You can't help but fall in love with this handsome antique Albert chain.
It is a wonderfully chunky curb link Albert chain in crisp, cool sterling silver, the links are each stamped with the lion passant for sterling silver and it has a substantial feel.
The chain also has a t bar and fastens with silver dog clip fastener, this is a later replacement.
It is a nice solid and weighty Albert chain and these are always in high demand.
A lovely antique chain, the perfect piece for displaying your favourite pocket watch and would make a lovely gift, could be worn as a choker depending on neck size.
Marks and era:
Edwardian era, c1900s, marked with lion passant and makers mark, t bar marked, dog clip stamped 925
Condition:
Good used condition overall, lots of aged patina and surface wear commensurate with age, dog clip is a later replacement and feels loose when opening and closing, still snaps shut but may be desirable to replace.
