French Art Nouveau Diamond Enamel Platinum 18 Karat Yellow Antique Lady Necklace
About the Item
Comprised of a stylized twisted wire cable chain suspending a peacock feather motif plique-a-jour station. Transparent matte green and peachy orange in color with light saturation. Centering a highly rendered portrait of a woman with swirling texturous hair and tiara. Featuring opaque glossy cream colored enamel face with peaceful expression. Accented by rose and old European cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.35 carat total. Bead and bezel set in platinum-topped gold throughout - quality consistent with cut and age. With grooved whiplash motif frame surround. Completed by spring clasp closure. Stamped with French assay marks for 18 karat gold. Circa: 1905. Chain length: 21 inches. Station measures: 1 1/4 x 1 5/8 inches. Total weight: 27.5 grams. Elegant. Feminine. Majesty.
