Antique Belle Époque Platinum Diamond Swag Necklace
About the Item
A very pretty antique Belle Époque diamond swag necklace dating to about 1910. This necklace has jack knife platinum sections that suspend half moons secretions of diamonds and diamond pendant fringe. The necklace circles the entire neck and lays so beautifully on the neck. There are about 6 carats of diamonds in the necklace, the cuts are rosecut and old mine cut. The largest stone at the center of the necklace weighs approximately 0.70 carats. The stones are bright and clean. The necklace has places on the sides of the necklace where the chain can be detached. The center portion at one point may have had a frame so that it could be worn as a tiara. There is an antique box that accompanies the purchase. The necklace measures 16.5 inches long.
