About the Item
This is a Museum piece, an Edwardian Silver and Hardstone-mounted Snuff Box marked for Aide & Lovekin Ltd., Birmingham, 1908, from the collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. The wonderful Sterling Silver box has a beautiful engraved design surrounding a flower leaf motif with an inset green hard stone design. The interior has a gold gilt wash. The box is hallmarked with the Birmingham 1908 British hallmarks and the mark for Aide & Lovekin makers.
The box is in excellent condition. It opens and closes securely.
The box is 1 1/4 inches (33mm) long, 1 inch (26mm) wide and is 1/2 inch (13mm) deep.
