Signed Old or Antique Russian 84 Zolotnik Silver Page Cutter or Letter Opener

About the Item

A fine Russian silver page cutter (or letter opener). Possibly by Gerasim Mitrofanov. With a lozenge form handle with cast leaf-work. Marked with a second Kokoshnik mark (1908 to 1926) for Moscow. Simply a wonderful piece of antique Russian silver! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Possibly by Gerasim Mitrofanov Marks: Second Kokoshnik mark (1908 to 1926) for Moscow, the 84 zolotnik mark for .875 silver fineness, and maker's mark ГМ likely for Gerasim Mitrofanov Measurements: Length: ca. 9 1/2 in.
