This bicolor gold and enamel cigarette case by Fabergé features an applied moss agate oval decoration set within a seed pearl and gold border. The body is decorated with yellow guilloche enamel and applied laurel bands at the base and cover. The case is finished with a cabochon sapphire thumbpiece. It is hallmarked Fabergé with makers mark for Henrik Wigström.
Henrik Wigström (1862-1923) was one of the most important Fabergé work-masters. He joined the firm in 1884 as assistant to Michael Perchin and upon Perchin’s death in 1903 he became head work-master. The two were responsible for almost all of the Imperial Easter eggs produced by Fabergé, as well as superbly crafted enamel and gold objects...

Painted between 1935 and 1946 by the Dimitrov Factory near Moscow, the rare porcelain cup and saucer commemorates the Russian Civil War of 1918-21. Of high quality with crisp detail and vivid color, the front of cup depicts a detailed scene of Red Army Cavalry on patrol while the saucer features exploding artillery shells on a burgundy background enhanced with gilt scrolls.

Gold floral compositions with precious or semi-precious stones or enamel became popular at the turn of the 20th century in Europe and Russia. Especially Imperial families and nobilities collected or gifted to important people.
This floral miniature consisted of various rich flower stone carvings adorned with gold filigrees and over 9ct white and black diamonds is fascinating.
Poppy flowers made of chalcedony and black diamonds adjoin a quartz lily and lively golden chrysanthemum decorated with diamonds. The gold stamens are adorned with diamonds and sapphires. Fresh-looking leaves are also hand-carved from Siberian nephrite to balance this rich floral composition. One of the poppies is detachable to be transformed into an outstanding brooch. A deep nephrite vase harmoniously continues the floral theme: inspired by the image of an ancient wine cup, it is shaped to be reminiscent of a flower bud. The artistic floral pattern on the base is silver and embedded with diamonds.

The double-headed eagle is the symbol most strongly associated with Russia. However, throughout history it has featured in many cultures around the world, including Ancient Persia, the Holy Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, the Venetian Republic, and Scandinavia. The first known appearance of the double-headed eagle in Russia dates to the late 15th century. Ivan III (ruled 1462-1505) made the black double-headed eagle an official emblem of the Russian state and it featured as a design motif in the regalia of the Russian Imperial Court, until the fall of monarchy in 1917. This exquisite hardstone seal was made by Fabergé and comes from the Fabergé collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Fabergé was established in St Petersburg in 1842, and by the late nineteenth century, was Russia’s largest and best-known jewellery house. The house has become known for their royal commissions and their close ties to the family of Tsar Nicholas II. This seal features a flat oval handle with a gorgeous dendritic agate panel inset. This particular agate has the natural appearance of a miniature treecape, adding fine detail to this piece. Surrounding the handle is a frame of glittering rose-cut diamonds. The mount features white enamel and a fluted design set with diamonds, culminating in a blank matrix made from vibrant nephrite. This piece bears the marks of workmaster Henrik Wigström, who was head workmaster at Fabergé from 1903 onwards.
