Cocktail ring designed by Bvlgari.
Beautiful and rare ring, created in Roma Italy by the jewelry house of Bvlgari. This colorful cocktail ring has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and embellished with a great selection of natural earth mined gemstones.
Diamonds: Mounted in a French pave setting, with 34 round brilliant cuts diamonds, 0.68 carats, E/F color, VS-1 clarity.
Gemstones: Mount in the center, with one fluted cabochon cut of natural coral of about 3 carats.
Weight: 12.70 Grams, (8.14 Dwt).
Size: 6 and is sizeable.
Measurements: 12 mm by 22.5 mm (0.47 x 0.89 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with Italian marks; the gold assay mark for the warranty of the 18kt, the maker's mark and signed, "BVLGARI .750 *2337AL".
Bvlgari, was founded in the late 19th century by Sotirio Bulgari, who was born in 1857 in Greece and was descended from a talented family of silversmiths. In 1884 he opened his first shop in Rome on the Via Sistina, and then in 1905 he moved to the actual flag's store in Via dei Condotti. Upon Sotirio’s death in 1932 his sons, Giorgio and Costantino, took over the business. They are credited with creating the highly distinctive ‘Bvlgari’ style, inspired by Greek and Roman classicism revival, the Italian Renaissance, and the 19th century Roman school of goldsmiths. The 1970s marked the beginning of Bulgari’s international expansion with the opening of stores in New York (the first overseas), Paris, Geneva and Monte Carlo.

Bulgari
Greek silversmith Sotirios Voulgaris arrived in Rome in 1881 and set up his own shop there in 1884, calling it Bulgari, an Italianization of his last name (eventually spelled BVLGARI, using the classical Latin alphabet in a nod to ancient Roman culture). In 1905, he opened the company’s flagship boutique on Rome’s Via dei Condotti.
Although the house found success with its silverwork and Art Deco designs, popular through the 1920s, its signature style — bold, often using yellow gold embellished with big colorful gemstones — began to emerge when Sotirios’s sons inherited the business, in 1932. The brand truly hit its stride in the dolce vita era of the 1950s and ’60s, when the founder’s grandsons Paolo, Gianni and Nicola Bulgari decisively departed from demure traditional styles to develop the house’s exuberant multi-gem looks, attracting celebrity collectors like Elizabeth Taylor.
In the 1940s, Bulgari debuted perhaps its most famous design, the Serpenti bracelet watch. The piece’s snakelike coils were made possible by the tubogas jewelry technique, which links a flexible series of thin horizontal bands. Both the sleek, modern tubogas construction and the sinuous snake motif continue to be synonymous with the Bulgari brand.
