Victorian 18ct Gold Rose Cut Diamond Forget Me Not Mourning Ring, Circa 1869
About the Item
A very pretty Victorian 18ct yellow gold, rose cut diamond and black enamel mourning ring dating from the mid 19th century circa 1869. The mourning ring depicts one of the most common symbols of the period, the forget-me-not flower. The outline of the flower beautifully inlaid with black enamel which remains in excellent condition and the detailing of the flower is highlighted with rose cut diamonds. The shoulders are further set with fancy cursive engraving again inlaid with black enamel. A delightful antique Victorian ring with lots of character and charm perfect for a collector or addition to any ring stack.
