St. Charles Mid-Century Modern Steel Kitchen Upper Cabinet, Wall-Mount, Gray
Located in Brooklyn, NY
St. Charles Mid-Century Modern steel kitchen upper cabinet, wall-mount, gray, original finish. two-door, extended cabinet. Measures: 30" W x 16" D x 48" H. This listing is for “A” in the second image. St. Charles was one of the earliest brands of steel cabinetry in the United States, dating back to 1935, when St. Charles bought Janes & Kirtland, maker of the “White House Line” steel. Steel kitchens were first developed in the second half of the 1920s and exclusive to extremely high-end (often exhibition) homes in the pre-WWII era. These early (pre-war) cabinets were quite streamlined and "deco" in their appearance. Typically white, ice gray or gentle cream color, they were customized to each home and considered the 'modern' and very "American" choice for the discerning client. Frank Lloyd Wright was an early fan of steel kitchen cabinets and adopted them quite early on in the century. Wright chose St. Charles cabinets...

Original bronze spear and patina. Very large in size and would look incredible in your entryway, living room, mantle or buffet, or just about anywhere you have 36 inches wide. Chiparus of course the master sculptor, arguably the most important artist for statues of the Art Deco period. He always had a way of rendering both men and women in a most natural and desirable way. Striking Art Deco Mantle Clock with Mixed Wood and Brass Detail
Located in Oakland, CA
This clock is a marvelous example: Mixed use of woods including oak and Macassar, a face plate that is high style and stamped in brass and an angled design. An eight day key movement in this clock means it needs only to be wound once a week and no electrical plug or wires, so it will have a clean and stylish look on a mantle, buffet or desk. Every country has it’s own contribution to the Art Deco Style. While they all share similar elements (that’s what makes them all “Deco” after all), each country came to the party at a different time and used materials and influences that made it unique. The Dutch...
