Very interesting early 20th Century Czech made taxidermy cow "Tur Domácí Bos Taurus" hind leg for classroom study, probably used at a University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The leg is at least a hundred years old, you can see by the way it is fixed together (the curly iron thread) and the surface ware of the real bones, it is smooth and yellowish.
The iron and wood holder however is probably aded very recently (my guess is in the 80s 90s).

The badger is an omnivorous mammal with short legs for digging. He has an elongated, weasel-like head with small ears. This specimen is a European badger or Meles meles and is bigger than his American counterparts. The female badger in the showcase has a deviation in its pigmentation, which the light spots on its coat can notice. Such an animal with partial loss of pigmentation is called leucistic. Unlike people with albinism who have no pigmentation, leucistic badgers don't have red eyes but black ones.

Taxidermy captures animals in an eternal moment of animation, so perhaps it’s fitting that the deployment of these preternaturally preserved creatures — and other natural specimens — as decorative accents has endured far longer than the sell-by-date for most design trends. Certainly, the style-setting enthusiasts of tasteful decorating with taxidermy are as passionate as they are many.
Martha Stewart is a lifelong lover of the preservationist’s art, and she has proudly posed with the vintage game birds, foxes and bears that adorn Skylands, her 1920s retreat in Seal Harbor, Maine. Angelina Jolie began an avian menagerie when her daughter Shiloh brought home a dead bird she wanted to keep as a pet. Danielle Steel has an elegant Paris residence packed with exotic specimens, including a giraffe in the foyer.
