Damon Liss Design
High-level artisanship in Dallas
“There’s a lovely conversation created between rough and raw details and smooth and soft ones, which creates a beautiful and balanced home,” Damon Liss says of this project for a family who relocated to Dallas from downtown New York, where Liss’s firm is based. It’s safe to say they brought a few things with them: Sergio Rodrigues dining chairs from ESPASSO around a live-edge table by BDDW; Haas Brothers ceramics from R & Company displayed in a 1945 cabinet by Italian architect Franco Albini, sourced from Donzella. And hovering overhead, an elegant Nuáge chandelier by contemporary craftsman Alexandre Logé, another Donzella piece. For Liss, the dialogue among these objects is as captivating in Texas as it was in New York — and it’s sure to keep everyone at the table well past dessert.
“We find beauty in the careful and intentional curation of each piece of furniture, accessory and artwork in a home. How these pieces interact in a cohesive and visually pleasing way creates, for us, an inviting and livable home.”
