Dorothy Finley Kunst Dorothy
Dorothy Finley wurde am 15. Dezember 1920 in Seattle geboren. Sie besuchte das Fresno State College und setzte ihre Studien in Japan, Taiwan, Deutschland und den USA fort. Sie war eine preisgekrönte Malerin und Lehrerin, seit 1958. Ihre Werke befinden sich in zahlreichen Museen und Privatsammlungen. Finley studierte bei Walter McCown in Waco, Louisa Jenkins in Big Sur, Heinz Kusel an der Fresno State und dem großen Josef Albers in der Farbtheorie. In Kalifornien arbeitete und studierte sie mit Größen wie Robert E. Wood, Linda Doll, Sebastien Capella, Verna Fields, Carl Provder, Pauline Doblado und Carol Barnes. Von 1974 bis zu ihrem Tod im Jahr 2004 lebte sie in Fallbrook.
