Scott Yeager, ávido pescador y amante de las actividades al aire libre, ofrece un diario visual de su amor por la naturaleza a través de sus pinturas. La experiencia directa del tema es el núcleo de su trabajo, y como resultado crea un flujo constante de pinturas plein-air. Muchas de ellas se sostienen por sí solas como obras de arte, y muchas son el trampolín para obras más desarrolladas y de mayor envergadura en el estudio.
En su juventud, Scott llenó cuadernos de dibujos y pinturas de plantas, animales y todas las cosas del mundo natural que le inspiraban. A menudo se le podía encontrar sentado junto a una marisma o un río con un catalejo de campo y un bloc de dibujo, estudiando las formas y los ritmos de las aves acuáticas. En su edad adulta, Scott estudió en la Escuela de Artistas de Scottsdale, en Arizona, y ha buscado el estudio individual con otros artistas.
Scott ha expuesto en la Subasta de Arte de Scottsdale, en la conocida exposición "Pájaros en el Arte" del Museo de Arte Leigh Yawkey Woodson; ha sido jurado en la exposición "Artes para los Parques" patrocinada por la Academia Nacional de las Artes de los Parques, y ha sido seleccionado para exponer en varias muestras del Centro Bennington de las Artes de Vermont, entre ellas: "Impresiones de Nueva Inglaterra" y "Pequeñas Obras y Arte del Reino Animal".
Los viajes de Scott le llevan a muchas partes del país, desde Maine, en el este, hasta Alaska, en el oeste. La mayoría de sus destinos favoritos están en las Montañas Rocosas y el Suroeste. Scott reside en Woodland Park, Colorado, con su esposa Marie y su hijo Joseph.a
