I fratelli Giorgio, Gianfranco e Piero del Piero hanno fondato Vivai del Sud a Roma nel 1950. Forte di questo successo, nel 1970 Vivai del Sud si espande con una nuova attenzione alla decorazione d'interni e al design di mobili.
Originari della Puglia, i fratelli si sono ispirati agli artisti del barocco italiano e all'architettura romana , utilizzando temi classici e motivi mitologici nel design dei loro mobili.
