Very good condition.
Painter, watercolorist, orientalist, Alphonse Rey was a student of Félix Ziem. He mainly paints watercolors on the subject, inspired by the Provençal countryside, the shores of the Mediterranean or his annual trips to Algeria. He was appointed curator of the Ziem Museum in Martigues. He exhibited his works at the Salon des Artistes français of which he became a member.
