About the Item
I began making photograms in June 2020, due to having an unfinished darkroom at the time of the shutdown. I also had just happened to get the wet side of my darkroom set up after losing my prior darkroom to rent hikes in 2017,.
This unique silver gelatin print was one of my early photograms, made in 2020, from my "From the Ashes" series. Mixed process multiple exposure with flowers, glitter and water. Exposed via sparkler (yes, you read that correctly), three times. This cameraless series inspired my next 3 bodies of black-and-white work and marked my long overdue return to printing.
