Fuchsia Pop Art Playful Elephant (Magenta Shimmer) Christopher Schulz Sculpture

2022

About the Item

Elephant (Magenta Shimmer) - Edition of 75. Christopher Schulz (b. 1974) works in a variety of mediums to create his sculptures and 2D wall pieces, Schulz seeks to engage the viewer in visceral interaction. Working with materials such as marine grade stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze, Schulz transforms predatory animals, machinery, and firearms into objects of seduction. Schulz combines hand-sculpting with diverse tools and technologies in the production of his works. Thriving in a state of constant evolution, Schulz maintains, “a significant work of art should never lose its aesthetic value” with aspiration to embody a gem-like quality throughout its existence, much like a modern artifact. The artist’s work has been exhibited on a national and international forum for over 10 years and resides in private and commercial collections worldwide. With works being acquired by entertainment and technology moguls as well as art museum directors, he has also been commissioned to create original works for such companies as HBA design group, BP Oil, Transocean and Isuzu. His work can be seen in public settings from Houston TX to Tiachung Taiwan. Additional exhibitions include International Art Fairs from New York and Miami to Palm Springs and Los Angeles. Original and limited-edition works can be seen in galleries across the country.
