Carol O'Malia Art
American
Carol O’Malia’s paintings depict ordinary objects, people, and places, and the ephemeral moments that are often overlooked in the rush of our everyday lives. These instants, like heartbeats of time, are anchored and safeguarded with paint onto the canvas.
Carol was born in Boston and is a native New Englander. She earned a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. When she is not in her studio, she can be found wandering in and around the woods of New Hampshire and Maine.(Biography provided by Eisenhauer Gallery)

Inspired by the modest works of the French painter, Chardin, this classic composition focuses on the simple, zen-like qualities of the gustatory delights of Stefaan’s locale, where bread and cheeses are freshly made and sold at his favorite outdoor market. Jules Elie Peonies by Katharine Rowe floral painting of peonies
By Katharine Rowe
Located in London, GB
Katharine spent a long time mixing paint to reach the right level of smokiness and avoid any saccharine pink in these peonies. They seem to be quite solid but at the same time quite delicate, they are a joy to paint.
Katharine Rowe is an English painter she graduated in Fine Art and History of Art at the University of Edinburgh in 1999 and spent a year studying at Université de la Sorbonne, Paris. Having spent a decade working in advertising Katharine felt the increasing need to be out of the office and with her paintbrush. The past 9 years have been dedicated to just that. Katharine is strongly motivated by colour and she often spends up to an hour mixing and preparing paints before turning to the canvas. Katharine is always inspired by her surroundings from the varied landscapes of London...

Grapes and French Cheese
Located in Woodbury, CT
Oil on panel, signed and dated 2001. French wooden frame in ivory with gold leaf. Unframed size: 19.7 inches high x 23.6 inches wide. Framed size: 26.4 inches high x 30.5 inches wide x 1 inch deep. Sold framed.
The first Eyckmans’ painting to employ a brighter, golden palette, this everyday kitchen scene explores the differing textures of the objects within. The artist’s love of all things French is exemplified here with antique pottery, a starched linen tablecloth, breadboard and, of course, fruit and favorite cheeses. Note the superb shadowing of the board extending over the table, the detailing in the chèvre and paper wrapping to the left, and the asymmetrical cluster of stemmed Muscat grapes, all illuminated by easterly light. Classical in perspective and execution, but with a more contemporary feel that derives from the use of color and light, this painting marks a transformational point in the artist’s work.
This painting is available for viewing at The Elemental Garden...

White Peonies from Covent Garden
By Katharine Rowe
Located in London, GB
This was the flower artist Katherine Rowe had in her wedding bouquet and so they have always had a special place in my heart. Despite being 'white' there is hardly any actual pure white in the painting but multiple blues and yellows and greens.
Katharine Rowe is an English painter she graduated in Fine Art and History of Art at the University of Edinburgh in 1999 and spent a year studying at Université de la Sorbonne, Paris. Quinces are a symbol of fertility, and for the artist, they’re adored for their voluptuous, irregular shape. To him, imperfect fruits are more realistic, more truthful, and most beautiful. In this large composition, the bright, primary coloring of the quinces is heightened by their placement in front of the vintage oil can...

Pale Pink Peonies sit in a Celadon Jug floral painting by Jonquil Williamson
By Jonquil Williamson
Located in London, GB
British contemporary artist Jonquil Williamson is known for her vibrant still lifes and rich tonal landscapes. Although her work is mostly representational, she allows the mark-making and textures created as she layers the paint, to inform the image.
Of her work she shares, “like many still life painters, I find inspiration from taking everyday things and elevating to something beautiful and positive. I strive to create an atmosphere with my works; from the calmness and serenity of Morandi-inspired clusters of pots and vessels...
