A rare set of six CS/2 model dining chairs made by Figli di Colombo Sanguineti during the 1960s in Chiavari.
This model has been presented at the Milan Triennale in the 1954 and it can be found since then in the Sanguineti catalogues from the 1950s to the 1960s: these chairs can be considered a late production and they can be distinguished from the older versions by their clean and straight anterior legs.
Their frames are made of a completely restored and refinished wild cherry wood. With a total weight of just 2.250 kg each, these chairs have a new cane seats and they are ready to last for the years to come.
Chiavari chairs (Chiavarine) have a 200 years long history and since the beginning of their production they have evolved in several models being always recognisable for a distinctive frame structure which allow them to be one of the lightest chair in the world without compromising their sturdiness and stability.
