This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster has a baluster form onto a circular domed spreading foot. The upper and lower portions of this piece are embellished with embossed and chased bead and scroll decoration accenting concave bordered, fluted decoration all in a spiral design. The sugar caster retains the original hallmarked screw fit cover, embellished with pierced decoration incorporating chased and embossed bead and scroll decoration, the screw fit attachment indicates the fine quality of this piece. These exceptional antique Edward VIII sterling silver tartlet servers have shaped rounded blade, all in the iconic Arts & Crafts style. The surface of each subtly convex blade has a planished finish. Each exceptional server handle has a ribbed stem to a volute scrolling terminal; this handle style is a variant of Onslow pattern. These antique sterling silver tartlet servers are fitted to the original hinged wooden box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with two hinged catches.
