About the Item

This is a very old Japanese wood carving of a male deity. It is a wood carving from the early Edo period. (1600s-1700s) It has been cherished as a god for the people. Carved from cedar wood. It is covered with soot and dust from age and has a very stately appearance. Depending on the light, you can see a faint expression on his face. This is a one-of-a-kind and very rare item. Weight 300g.
