A very good quality 18th century English George II pine fireplace. The frieze finely carved with grapes, foliage and wheat sheafs surmounted by breakfront shelf with leaf moudling. The tapering panelled jambs with carved drops of foliage and grapes. The aperture moulding with carved leaf and beading detail. (Shelf at narrowest - 6")
