Large Pair Rouge Royale Covered Marble Urns
About the Item
This fine pair of carved marble urns made of Rouge Royale, a favorite stone of the Bourbon kings has been cut from the solid material and thinned down to a delicate and fine thinness. The urns made in an 18th century form have been left un mounted or decorated to show the fine veining of the liver and red color in the material with the dramatic splashes of rich white vein lines throughout.
