About the Item
Exquisite contemporary signed decorative porcelain bowl, intricately hand-painted in blue and cream, a stunning progression of the artist's interpretation of peaches, a signed masterpiece by highly acclaimed award-winning master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of Japan.
According to Japanese mythology peach has the power to eliminate evil and misfortune. The beloved "Momotaro" or "Peach Boy," an ancient Japanese hero, is believed to have been born from a giant peach and is known for his fights against evil in his many adventures.
This stunning contemporary porcelain vase features an astonishing blue and cream peach pattern that fully covers the outside and inside of the bowl, growing progressively smaller as it approaches the center.
